Young Adult / Small Miracles (snippet from EDICIUS)

• Kevin laughed at the look on Lee’s face. Lee’s eyes darted from the door behind Kevin and then back to Kevin’s face. With a small gasp of surprise, Kevin leaned in towards him and forced Lee’s lips to meet his own.


• Lee pulled away quickly. “Straight!”


• Kevin looked confused for only half a second and then let out a long sigh; but he was smiling. “You don’t know that for sure, now, do you?” He let his hands circle around Lee’s waist, but most of his body weight still held Lee firmly against the wall.


• Lee was holding his breath.


• “Have you ever done it before?”


• A slight shake of the head.


• “Well, then you don’t know.” Without warning him he leaned forward and kissed him again. This time he met no resistance. To Kevin’s surprise, Lee actually proved to be better than a lot of the other straight men he’d kissed this year.


• ‘Well thank God for small miracles.’ Kevin thought. Straight-boy was a decent kisser.
