Poetry / More Weight!

                
There is a long journey in this heart.
The distance a million miles back to the start
and the weight I’ve carried for so long
would break a man twice as strong.
I know life is no fairytale or fantasy
and if my path is to be full of negativity
then in defiance I have this to say
the road we take we may not choose
but as long as we walk it we never lose.
We take comfort in the happiness we give
This is my vow, the way I live
and to the misery I say, more weight.
