Poetry / theft of original scientific thought

original thought is pure and comes rarely
during your thirties when you really know something
and is fizzes like phosphorus
you cant sleep because you need to pursue
to prove
to put  down for that light bulb moment

then it is hidden
taken from you
analysed and paralysized by those who know
and are paid to doubt

until no longer you connect
and the light has gone out
you give up all hope
of it ever being true

then they look, and see  oppurtunity
and make it acceptable
tailor it for their own means
for  hollow narcism becons

and as a courtesy they include you
once the politicians have been paid
and it can be developed by someone else
more deserving

and you kick and cry
but they always win
and you are forgotten
one more trampled on
the road to discovery and research grants
