Journal, Diary, & Blogging / good things come to those who wait

oftentimes, there are things we want to do or want to get into. things we want to get involved in or experience. things that catch our fancy and entice us. and suddenly, we find ourselves yearning for that something and trying our best to get it. but most often than not, there would be reasons or circumstances that would inhibit the full attainment of such a goal. there are things that we have no control over and things we know we just have to bow to. it is really frustrating when that happens and it is a very awful feeling. but then again, since nothing can be done about it, it would be much easier on our part to just go with the flow and not struggle.

sometimes, the thing we want is something other people find real hard to understand. and most of the time people fail to see the value that something holds in our life. what it means to us, and how it makes us whole. and how much difference attaining it would make in our lives. one can’t blame anyone though. for as people, we take pride in our uniqueness and individuality, especially in our opinions and priorities. which, is generally a good thing. but which, ensures, that struggles would be a part of everyday life. people think differently and so, we don’t always understand each other. that is life’s little attempt at humor. and a little challenge if you may. attempting solidarity in the face of numerous adversity.

so here it is, a blog. a way to vent out frustrations of everyday life. and maybe a way to pretend that we are indeed talking ot someone who is listening intently. although often enough we answer our own questions and calm our own woes, we take comfort in the idea of involving “someone” in our little battles. i must say, it feels pretty good to let things out in the open. so even if disappointments plague our very existence, we know there is a way for us to let out our aggressions and not hurt nor offend anyone in the process. it may be shallow but whatever works, right?

my uncle said, a very good lesson he learned from his wife is that “good things come to those who wait”. so for now, everything is put to a standstill. and i am aching and itching to go or do but i have to wait. and i just repeat the mantra in my head…”good things come to those to who wait…” and i repeat those word over and over. to pass the time? maybe. or perhaps in the hopes of one day waking up and actually believing those words. and then waiting wouldn’t seem so bad or too hard. but for now, all i can say is, the thing that would come from it better be good. no, it better be damn great.

hello, well, i enjoyed your blog, your vent. In paragraph two, you speak of obtaining someting that would really impact your life. what is it that others don’t see that you find to have such a value, to make a difference in your life? i am very curious, and yes there are people out there who do care… me… also, thank you for not using caps, as you know in my work i never utilize them, for the damage the emotional flow…

The hardest part is waiting and knowing that what you want may not be what you will get. Seeing as how this is just a blog I am not going to critique it. I think it is a lesson that everybody must know. However I learned that you can wait your whole life and not get what you want. You just have to find a way to see it in what you have.

The lack of capitalization really takes away from the readability of this peice. I heavily reccomend capitalizing where appropriate. Just because its a journal/blog entry, it should still follow proper rules, especially if you’re posting it where others can read it!

All in all, very interesting musings. One of the things people do worse is wait though.  I hope good things come to you, and indeed -it BETTER be good for all that waiting!

This isn’t non-fiction.  It’s a blog, diary, essay, etc.  It’s not bad until paragraph 4.  This paragraph breaks down a little because you get too familiar with the reader.  I know it’s a blog about you but why show it to a stranger unless you want them to get what you are feeling?  Mentioning people the reader doesn’t know usually backfires.  It did for me when you mention daddy pol and tita menita.  Then you get into specifics on times when generalizations might have worked better.  This paragraph started to drag and you lost some momentum.

You did pull off the lower case device, problably due to the excellent level of diction you maintained throughout.
