Blank pages and empty thoughts
My bag of words has fallen short
With little out there to express
Just how I truly feel inside
What is a poet without words?
It’s just like a singer who isn’t heard
On stage exposed to the world
Mouth open with only air escaping
I sit here with my pen in hand
Hidden pressure lurking around me
Expectations for wondrous things
To be written from my timid hand
What is a poet without passion?
It’s like a painter who paints in the dark
Eyes closed off to the canvas
No guiding hand to lead the brush
I sit here with my mind full of clutter
Thoughts getting lost in all the chaos
While little creatures of doubt sit and wait
Hoping to capture any sign of creativity
So I sit here and wait once more
Until my mind can clear of all its worries
In the clearing I will see my words
And they will flow freely desiring to be heard

i think you could use a few breaks in line here, ie paragraphs. Very good poem though. Very true to the feelings of writers.

I can feel you on this one. Sometimes that muse just hides behind every rock except the one your under. I often have to deviate from the book I am writting and work on a completely different work until that little devil returns to me. I didn’t see any grammar errors in this work other than at the end. There is no period to indicate the poem is over so it makes me wonder if there might be more to it. I was very drawn in from the first line to the finish. Well writen. Good.
