Poetry / A love I've known not before (Analysis)
Haunting words escape his lips
Piercing eyes seize my soul
Marble hands grasp my hips
Relishing teardrops dark as coal
Melodic tunes of passion grace my ears
One by one he destroys my fears
A new hope balancing my rage
He has me trapped in his ecstasy filled cage
A love I’ve known not before
Crashing in like waves on a forgotten shore
Dark and dank my soul has been
Refilling it with a composed sin
Those marble hands never to be replaced
any other, simply a disgrace
A love I’ve known not before
I am his, forevermore.
