good qoute, it helps and puts  a direct thought to something I have been saying for years, just not as finely.

This quote is certainly true, and for that reason may be memorable. However, the quote, “A stitch in time saves nine” says nearly the same thing in fewer words that are more catchy and memorable. Play around with it, and see if some words could be eliminated or more powerful ones added? See in HOW FEW WORDS you can make your point. It can be a fun way to burn some time. Good job! (:

i guess that’s true. An artist puts all of his strength and might into his craft, focusing on every detail.

This something I do..I would try to write to stories at once, but concentrating on just one improves it’s quality.

It’s pretty vague, as in you have to set your eyes on many thing TO accomplish anything of value. I’m sure you meant too many different things, which would correlate with focus as your title. I just think you could word this better. Even when worded more clearly, I still don’t completely agree- Although priorities are a must, and I see where you are coming from.

I would write it thus:

Set your sights on too many things,
and you won’t end up with anything!

Only because I like the rhyme. :)

I understand what this means I think. Keeping your eyes set on one goal is more wise than trying to put all of your focus on many.

The message is clear. I think the second part of the quote could be more idiomatic (to be more parallel with the first part).

Even though I have heard this before a number of times, the fact that you believe this to be your original thought is indicative that you do have talent. It is one thing to plagurize an author’s work, and a much different thing to come to the same resolution after assessing the same problem. Therefore, I commend rather than codemn, and encourage you to continue expressing yourself in literature to find what other gems might be lurking there!
