Poetry / Was it Just a Dream?
The proponents of equality,
I trusted as a young man;
They became the AVARICE,
To take what they can;
Believing nothing I hear,
And little that I see;
The wielders of WRATH,
were coming after me;
Entering a door named trust,
I was entrapped in a mesh;
And the gleaners of GLUTTONY,
Were tearing at my flesh;
The exhorter of ENVY,
Coming from my right;
To set upon my chest,
And gouge out my sight;
The Indolent silent ones,
On my left crouching apart;
Getting ready to leap,
And tear out my heart;
LUSTING just above me,
Was the beast of the unkind,
Reaching down toward me,
To destroy my unconscious mind;
The Prince of PRIDE,
Trying to gag my scream;
Can this be reality,
Or is it just a dream;
