I am to Christopher as cause is to red-headed.

love to be held, told to be unreasonable.
freedom is just…free to come free to go…

I’ll not make a promise to this over the hill gal
She’ll not get her way. I’ll be so wise. She will find my way is best …

If she is who is best for me…She’ll see through my disguise.

I didn’t understand the comparison between cause and a red head so lost perhaps the most important stanza..

But i have met guys and gals like that. Callus, thoughtless and oh so sure of themselves. Though I believe in self confidence and rarely date those with out it, I also believe in the theory that a door swings both ways.. i still believe in love with out reservation and don’t expect anything in return..

Unless I was 24 i certainly would not think a girl of 41 is over the hill, 60-70…perhaps …lol

So you met a jerk.. well put, not very poetic, but fun to read..

Nope, actually, I seem to be the one who is unable to think outside the box here. That is OK, however, I have a five-year-old and that is possibly why I am unable to throw caution to the wind…sorry for all of the cliche’s.

With a five year old and no husband, You are kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.. First if you date you want someone who is mature enough to become the boys step dad. 2nd you have to look so hard at this part of him that it stops, or at least slows you down a little, from just having fun. With a child life becomes serious and true romance difficult for the man must love you both equally.

i was a single dad and had a terrible time finding someone i could love… never did really.. I settled instead for friendship
