Poetry / My Rainy Day Girl
She surprised me with a beautiful smile as I kissed her on the cheek and said, stay a while. Though we were both young, I knew we were meant to be together.
This beautiful angel of mine so sweet so divine she looked like a movie star, and drove a flashy car but only in her dreams; I remember thinking at the time, it seams as though she is happy.
I watched the reflections of sunlight as she combed her beautiful hair, and all the time I longed for her gentle touch. The twinkle in her eyes, those precious moments sharing apple pies, how I miss them so much. I remember those moments of in-depth conversation, as time relapsed into a distant memory of joy, laughter and imagination.
The night we sat down to tell ghost stories of phantom clowns, I recall with such fondness, it always brings a smile to my face when I remember the place. We shared our stories and our songs, we knew about the place we did not belong. We gave each other presents and even exchanged food, we told those childhood jokes we heard, even though they were rude.
On cold nights we use to sit by a real coal fire with friends. Amid st onslaught of twisted tongues and vocal satire. And still they did not see her.

Fantasticly fabulous. I could feel the adoration deep in my soul and I could see this young man looking at this young woman with eyes that no one else could see her through. The emotions evoked are more than just lust or a childish crush. There was a real depth of love relayed through this poem.
The last line has a few typos that need to be adressed like we used instead of use or amidst. There is a space there for some reason. Very good. One of my favorites.
