Why do we give teachers apples? Shouldn’t we be giving the “nerds” of our schools these apples? They are our future check signers.

Funny, and a darn good question. Maybe people just don’t look that far ahead. Nerds will some day hand out paychecks, but for now, teachers are handing out grades. (No one ever gave me an apple… for being a nerd or for being the teacher.)

Good. Would this be better if it were actually something that a nerd would like? Like pencils or software programs or one of those chains to hold their glasses?
