Poetry / Final Write
The labyrinth of my being,
That has ensued thus this far;
Offers no reason to meaning;
When I stand before the bar;
Ghostly creatures are dancing,
Echoes from a surrendered past;
Giving rise to my infirmities,
For the shadows that I’ve cast;
The candle of my existence,
I flickering in it’s flow;
Soon there’ll come that day,
When it will cease to glow;
Whenever my never comes,
Inter history beneath the sod;
Shed no tears for yesterday,
Commend my fate to God;
