Poetry / Be My Wife
Words with many meanings mostly unsaid.
One word…
…you…
You’re my embrace at night,
And my first morning thoughts.
A gift from the Heavens.
-one whom I adore-
My blessing.
My piece of mind.
My lover.
My friend.
My wife one day.
-and for that I am grateful-
For God Himself hand crafted you my angel for me and I for you.
What favor!
What love has our father shown us!
A gift for God again I say with great pride!
And vow to you on this day
And everyday after to display my love for you
As God displayed it in our lives.
Share with me,
And give me your hand.
And become my wife.
For I wouldn’t have a greater joy in this lifetime without you by my side.

It is great to know some people, men, I mean, still think this way. Nowadays so many people, including myself, are so jaded and hardened and bittered by past marriages or relationships, they are just not interested in marriage anymore. Living together, okay. But not marriage.
I wish you luck with your love. I really mean that!!!!
I do like your arrangement of the lines. It is different.
You show a deep religious feeling (also rather unusual nowadays) when you say: ”What favor! What love has our father shown us!” Bravo for your optimism! Never change.
