As a short story or flash fiction this makes more sense than as a 6 word memoir as it doesn’t reflect the author’s personal journey but talks about those who love perhaps not only unconditionally, but maybe even with an unrequited love, for it seems not to be reciprocated by the other. And this happens so often in life where love for another is not returned, or the love object gets frightened and flees. There are other interpretations of this line, it is filled with possibilities which is why I find it a good ‘short story’ in the making.
