I’m glad you get it.  I’ve gotten quite a few people who don’t, and I’m honestly perplexed about that.  I thought it was pretty clear.  

I find that to be odd as well. It is simply put and a simple concept all together.

You could consider hibernation like a writers block… or perhaps just anything that keeps you from writing. But after its over, if you are a true writer, you will pick up your pen [or writing utensil of choice]and write again.

The only way you could stop would i guess be the ultimate hibernation…death.

I’m not sure why you didn’t understand it.  You got the basic idea; writers never retire, they never completely stop writing.  There might be periods when they take a break from writing, but it’s always temporary.  Writers write until they die.  It’s not a field anybody truly retires from.  
And hibernation implies temporarily ceasing.  It can last days, weeks, and months, but the point is that hibernation is not permanent; the subject comes out of hibernation, eventually.  

I’m glad you enjoyed it and understood!  It’s a bit surprising to me that it’s not clear to everyone.  

I appreciate the suggestion, but it would directly go against what I was trying to convey; nobody ever truly stops writing-they either take breaks from it, or die in the middle of writing something.  Nobody ever just ‘stops’.  

I was just thinking the same thing. One little word change like that and you completely change the meaning. Changing the word to then would be saying we go into a deep sleep then [ nothing in between ] DIE.

The word or is correct for conveying what she meant.

I can’t stand starbucks, actually.  My hubster drags me there, and the only thing I enjoy is the chairs.
