Poetry / Sailors tarry marooned in madness
Sailors tarry marooned in madness
Aground and broken seaward urging
I ply the groggy mead to contested virgins.
Flailing wet they suck sweet, sweet vapor.
Why, oh why, did tonight come here?
Where will my wandering lead me after?
When will soft lilies care for me?
A mystery’s matter
Serving lady’s frothy platter careening
Smoky heads, broken reefs.
Fly me to a river kind silky purveyor.
Fly me moonward lady of tainted dances.
I stopped into a little creek along the river
Tadpoles and maggot worms coughing surrender.
I held back the rattling clocks whipping frenzy.
Back to the skiff I staggered alone.
