While your review was very well thought out, you missed the point of my story in six words, as many people did. I like Charles Dickens and I’m pleased that you draw that comparison. You see, my parents were very competitive and my mother was a martyr in the sense of the traditional Jewish Mother or Chinese Mother who lays a guilt trip on her children. It is a horrible realization that one’s protective parent is jealous. You need two to play at this game and what if you realize that you are the victim? How do you make the best of it instead of making war? You write your side of the story as therapy. There are no winners here. But you do become good at writing and that is what you end up doing best. Thank you for your review.

I like the potential double-meaning of ‘write way out’, but I’m not sure what it means. I’m not sure ‘victim’ and ‘martyr’ are two words heavily connected with ‘the creative life.’ I’m sure we all feel victimised at some point, and if our writing is good enough we may become martyrs- (I’m thinking Charles Dickens level of continued fame). But I’m not sure they are primary words in a description of the writer and his craft.

Your “notes for reviewer” section is very true. =] I think you should change vs to actually say versus. But it makes a lot of sense. But if you were to just read the quote you wouldn’t know what it was about until you read the title. Good work however.
It has been a long day. I don’t exactly understand this.
