I agree with the sentiment but think the word “created” is not precise enough. Accomplished? Achieved? What about a more visual word like “sweat”? Taking this statement to the level of metaphor would make it more powerful.

So true, so true.  Even those lucky few who were born into “success” don’t know what it is to be successful until they have worked to achieve it.  Success is truly created, no matter what you are trying to succeed in.  Well done!  Very insightful.  I have heard this sort of thing before so, unfortunately, it’s not very original, but still!  It proves that you have your mind and your goals all in the right places.  

i love this quote. it makes me think about situations i am going through in life. its a quote that you can read to anyone and they can get a understanding of where they need to step up in their life.  i feel a lot of people think that success is something that is simply handed to them, not understanding that success is something that you have to go chase after.  this quote reminds people that in order to achieve what their heart is set upon, they must be the one to take the initial steps to get there.  they must be willing to create the opportunities to achieve the success that they want,and must be willing to work until they feel they have reached what THEY feel is success

My honest thoughts are that this is not the first time I’ve read this quote. I have actually seen it published before.

For me this works really well – reflects my own ethos of working hard for your rewards.  It applies nicely to a writers life, but also fits for any goal a person wishes to achieve. One of life’s important lessons summed up in six words!

I like this and I think more people should realize it, maybe then there wouldn’t be so many excuses as to why some lives have been reduced to shambles.

Sounds like something a go-getter would say. If it weren’t for the existence of luck I would have to agree with your statement a lot more. Keep in mind too that success can be measured on many different fields. Take care. JW
