This is poignant if one considers that one fights against mediocrity within oneself. You don’t need the comma in the middle.

I completely agree with this – isn’t this what we’re all trying to stay away from?? Well put and well taken.
I like the capitalization of each word, as well, as it makes each word seem very important, and seems to negate the issue of needing a period or not, which obviously you decided it didn’t. I can see where some people who are strict rule-abiders would have a problem with no period, but I think it’s stronger without one.
Thanks for the read, and the thought!

In this form it isn’t quite a memoir – i.e. an autobiography.  The writer is dissociated from it by the order of the words.  I would simply change that order to: Waged a constant war against mediocrity.  You could also specify the gender by taking out indefinite article. “(S)He waged constant…”  Also not sure why Constant is capitalized.

OK, I can buy that stance, but how do you do that if it’s your life’s work? A little more detail would help, such as, I paint in defense of mediocrity. Or, I vocalize loudly against dismal mediocrity. Something like that. You need to take it to the next level.

Yeah, think this one works … but it seems like something I’ve read before?  Either that means you have created something with a wide appeal, or you have tapped into something which is already out there.  Who cares?  Like I said, it works.

Very nice. This has a lot to say about you as an author, and about your life. Nicely done! Is there a reason you capitalized the whole thing? It seems more like a title than a six word essay.

I agree that Mediocrity must be fought, but I’m not even sure what mediocre is anymore, which in it’s self is a mediocre point.  I think Mediocrity can’t be helped when global companies pay for our attention on TV the internet and in our natural day to day environment.  Everything is meant to appeal to as many people as possible, in-turn spreading a thick homogenizing honey glaze over the West, (and now East) The good news is that now we more places to strike at thus beast.  Places such as this one.  VIVA LA RESISTANCE
