This piece doesnt seem to make sense to me… usually the saying would be “because of his intelligence, or lack thereof” or something along those lines… So I cant really figure out what you mean…

Not crazy about it. Sorry. The “that thereof” bit uses up words that could have been more efficient. As in: “I was stupid.”

good first stanza – didn’t see at all where you’re going with the second. perhaps you should substitute the word “that” for something else.
