although there is a sobering truth and reality to this statement, it is not as powerful as 6 words needs to be the two main concepts here daydream and life should be kept but maybe you can strengthen this by presenting it differently.

example: only fear fear

or
there is nothing to fear, but fear itself.

For a memoir I like it!

It is subjective which I happen to be a HUGE fan of. Perhaps an issue with mastering the ordinary? Letting life pass by? Happy, joyous, and free?
Could be any of the above or….....something different.
