That is so true. To everyone else when someone “newly” famous for whatever shows up we think, Ah, an overnight success, but in reality that person probably busted their tails to get where they are. Nicely put.

I feel the exact same way. I like this quote, but it doesn’t seem to sum up someones life. If it does yours, I am sorry. :-)

As a memoir, this would be better in the past tense. It would then sound more like one’s life and not like an opinion.
Maybe “Success came overnight, after a decade.” ?

A good thing to remember when waiting for your own overnight success. I’m not sure this is quite uplifting, but something else along those lines. Very clear and clever.
