Great! It’s true. A writer lives the lives of his/her characters. Excellent. The only thing I could see to think about changing is the exact number of 1000. There are so many clichés that use this that you might be better off choosing “thousands of” instead of “a thousand”.

I absolutely agree with this quote. I feel you must to be a good writer no matter what type it may be. I am not sure how original it might be but I like it just the same.
