Yes they do as we are so often absorbed into the worlds we write about.  Even when functioning in the real world, I think many of us are often in our own heads thinking about another world…

Dude, that is like so my motto! [Don’t know if you’ve lived a thousand lives too, but we are kindred.] You rock!

I agree with this and very factual if you really think about it…

Very true, or at least see a thousand perspectives, and walks briefly in the shoes of many.

True, but not really too insightful.
Maybe you could make it a bit more literal/realistic and say ‘A writer can live countless lives’. You might even want to change ‘lives’ to ‘leads’.

This quote is a  very good summary of a writer’s life.  Personally, in each piece that I write, I become very connected to my characters.  Very often, they resemble a part of me.  This quote clearly describes how a writer “lives” through their characters and the worlds that they live in.  It very much takes you over and makes you forget, for at least a little while, that they are living in a modern world with a modern culture.  Your piece made me want to go back and read some of my old stuff in order to revisit these “lives.”  Well done!  A very insightful piece.

Hello
This is surprisingly good. Sounds so natural it is strange that it is original. Reminiscent of “a picture tells a thousand words” without being overshadowed by this.
Good work and good luck in the contest.

Great! It’s true. A writer lives the lives of his/her characters. Excellent. The only thing I could see to think about changing is the exact number of 1000. There are so many clichés that use this that you might be better off choosing “thousands of” instead of “a thousand”.
