Non-fiction / How Your Thoughts Can Ruin Your Life!

When was the last time worrying got you results? I ask you to really, sit back and take a minute to think about this question. Many of us will spend a lifetime worrying, a life time complaining all the while gaining a lifetime of sickness and a lifetime of more worrying and more complaining and more depression and more whatever it is that has you worrying in the first place. What are you going to do about your situation? What are you going to do to change it? I’ll tell you what you can do right now that will change your life forever and set you free. You can change the way you think. I know some of you are reading this and saying, “Change the way I think? What is she talking about?” I said exactly what I meant; there are a lot of us walking around mad at the world, full of anger, despair and hate; holding on to what may have happened to us in the past. But what you must realize is that holding on to all the hurtful, unspeakable things from your past, wont do you any good, actually it does you more harm than good! Hey you made it! You are alive and kicking and if you are reading this that means that you’re a relatively normal functioning human being, why let your traumatic past hold you back from a wonderful future, a wonderful life?
       You must hear this and hear this now, re-read this paragraph twice if need be, let this sink in; you are hurting yourself more than anyone with this negative mindset and this negative way of thinking. Your negative thoughts create negative action therefore creating negative reactions! Have you ever said, “Why is she/he looking at me like that?” or maybe you encounter rude people who don’t seem to notice you or pay you any attention. Maybe you feel invisible and the only time you don’t is during some sort of confrontation or negative interaction with someone. Think about this, really take a moment and close your eyes and think back to an altercation or to some point in time where you felt you were slighted or someone was very rude to you. Now that you have thought about this, close your eyes and think about what you could have possibly been thinking at that moment; was it something positive or was it something negative? What type of energy were you giving off? What kind of vibrations were you sending? I ask you this because I want you to be aware that negativity feeds off of negativity, so if you are walking through life with a negative disposition, negative energy, then you are going to attract what you put out there! Why should you attract positivity into your life when that isn’t what you are willing to give! Have you ever heard the saying “you get back what you put out?” Well you will have a lifetime of getting back what you put out there. Sound scary? Well it should if you live your life filled with negative energy.
       Everyday is passing you by, time is a ticking away while you spend your days, your weeks, your months, yours years in inner misery secretly hating yourself and hating your life when you could have just woken up and smelled the roses yesterday! Yesterday! Can’t get back yesterday so why not start today? Get rid of your negative energy; get rid of your negative thoughts. Now, I understand that this may take some adjustments. I know how we all like a little gossip to hear what happened with Anne and her soon to be ex husband who are going through that messy divorce. Or to call up your good friend to talk about your neighbor (who you speak to everyday and smile in her face) and her man who were fighting last night and you could hear it through your walls. Or maybe you saw John out with another woman. Who cares? If you are so concerned to repeat it, why don’t you just call Anne up and see how things are going with her divorce and offer her your assistance if needed. Or how about dropping in on your neighbor the next day and see if she is ok, let her know that you were just checking on her, show her no judgement. Maybe if you’d stopped to talk to John you would have been introduced to his cousin or sister but instead you went to John’s girlfriend with a calumnious story that wasn’t even verified. What a waste of good old time!
       But that is just one form of negative thoughts that create negative actions. Another more dangerous form of negative thought is self doubt and shooting down others with negative hollow point bullets, severely injuring it if not killing the desire, dream, goal (you fill in what rings true for you) before it even has a chance. If you make the decision to be conscience of your thoughts you will be overwhelmed by how much you are holding yourself back. I don’t care what situation you are in; whether you’re sitting in the projects or up on a hill in a beautiful house, those two people can still have the same negative mindset and be living in inner turmoil ready to give up. There are suicidal millionaires and happy housekeepers. Where you are physically or financially, no matter the state of your health, none of those factors have any bearing on what your mind can do. Your thinking can change it all! Are you ready for change? Even if you aren’t too sure yet I encourage you to turn the page and take this journey to releasing all that holds you back.
