Is it really the dark night the owl observes, or is it the prey IN the dark night? I also have a problem with ‘dive-bombs’. To me, owls swoop gracefully and silently. A Peregrine on the other hand certainly does dive bomb, or ‘stoop’ at high speed and from a great height. I applaud your attempt, but it doesn’t work for me.
