Not sure if I agree with the “any love is great” portion, but your use of “creates” for risk is an excellent idea.
I shall claim it. Excellent review; thank you.
Jim
ps. So is ‘love’ of money a misnomer or would it be considered ‘great’ also. :>)
Great love requires great risk and makes poets of us all.

I like this quote because I certainly agree that even though I may be cynical about love, once in a while an opportunity presents itself and automatically transforms us into inspired and passion-stricken individuals.
I would imagine that all or any love is great, so it appears there is a problem there. The risk could be construed as negative in such a positive emotion; LOVE.
I would consider “creates” instead of makes as it is an attribute earned through the beauty of situation.
Thank you for the opportunity.
That is very true. The poet’s job it seems is to translate those emotions into verbal communication to be shared between the lovers, or to the reader. It is short, concise and too the point. That is all the originality you need.
If this isn’t original I’d ask you to expand on several things, and then I think you would have an original quote, but more than that.
Define: what is great love; what is great risk, and why does love and risk make us poets?
Simply, “Great love, great risk, makes us poets.”
Too make this unique to you, write something about what “great,” means to you. along with some word besides love. But also what “risk,” and “poet,” mean.
I think you could write a great poem pondering these things.
Bravo. blessings, Gregory
hi there,
though i haven’t had great love, i gave you an “8” for such a nice thought, and feeling you must have experienced…and your right…any kind of love takes a risk…anything worth while does…good one..jim
Yes I agree with you on that quote. A great love normallu against the odds.
I wrote this sometime ago and I think this is what u tried to say in your quote,
‘To love you
In bad in good
In all the hard times
I will be there for you.
And all, and all
The ups and downs
In life
I risk for you
I risk for you.
To love you
All weathers
In shine in rain
In breeze in storm
I stand by you
I stand by you.
To love you
I let you go
For all your bliss
Without me
For all my tears
Without you.

Thanks cheers.
This is very true. To acquire “Great Love” one must take a “great risk,” as a way to put ones self out there. Love is the hardest emotion and ability to achieve these days, it makes us all a little scared to open up to people. Like you state in your quote though, it does eventually make “poets of us all.” Be we write a poem itself or even a song or possibly a story. And from personal and horrific events myself, this quote you wrote can ring very true and strike close to the heart for anyone.
It may have been said, most likely in other words than yours, but I still find them relevant and very true.
Also well said.
i have heard the first half, but the second half seemed a fresh way to re-state it. also, it makes the first half more tangible, more understandable. very nice!
