I suppose you are right, however it is not my fault that people don’t understand references. If people ever took the time to look up the things they did not know about, people would learn a lot of fascinating things. This shouldn’t be hindered by people’s ignorance, and so I explain what it is about beforehand, I don’t expect it to be added to that anthology anyway, and now you know about Juan Belmonte, arguably the most important Matador of all time, and learning is not so bad.
Quotes / your world punctured in the flash of a cape yet the strength of that wonder falls flat in the face of discomfort
All my life surmised: Belmonte stutter.

I think as a stand alone quote this would fall dramatically short of most goals, its title is too much to be considered a six word, and without a definition, or breakdown about your subject no one will understand it. If your intending to write a book about MR Belmonte then perhaps you could find a home for this otherwise, its hard pressed to find a audience.

I like this quote, but I would have been really confused if you didn’t explain the bullfighting so as long as it is explained I think that it is pretty profound.
By itself, the quote doesn’t make much sense unless you’re familiar with Belmonte or you happen to have the introduction. Also, the impact of the 6-word story is lessened considerably by the incredibly long title.
I’d suggest making this more of a flash fiction piece rather than a 6-word story. Even just 50 words can make this feel more complete and meaningful.
What I get from this is that your life is characterized by somewhat flawed determination. However, I think that if you feel it’s necessary to give so much explanation in order for the reader to be able to understand it, it just doesn’t work as a 6 word piece.
“punctured” is a pickle of a word, and “in the flash of a cape” is obviously brilliant, but could be more brilliant if it was, “red cape”.
