Why would I tell you my heart breaks

When a sweetness whispered heals it anew?

How can I tell you I feel you?

In my heart, behind my eyes.

I can't reach you

Only see you.

I see you've pulled away from me

Letting darkness take you in

My heart still beats for you,

But does yours still beat true?

Shadow cannot hold you

The light you cast

Shatters the deepest gloom.

Where do your heartstrings go?

That I might pull you back to me.

I see you now and smile

Knowing where your heart resides

That happiness is ours again

Tenuous

But now rekindled
