It was more of a rant but i tried to make it something it was not

Everyday someone is claiming that they know how to fix the worlds problems and create answers to the public's growing number of questions. Now if someone REALLY had all of the answers you would think that we wouldn't have any problems, right? You see my belief is that no matter how smart you are, or how powerful you are, you never know everything. There will always be something that escapes your mental grasp, something that just doesn't fit with the rest of your knowledge, so it lies there discarded for another mind to seek out. Innately we all have the power to seek out the truth and decipher it from the lies thrust upon us by a world showered in HATRED and greed (at least this is my belief). I back my statement with fact of childhood, a child that hasn't seen the world outside of its small comprehensible visage around it, will not cry and scream if the lights go out, but a child that has been taught to be afraid of the dark will, writhe in terror whilst in utter darkness.
Let us take a look at religion, most of these 'god fearing' christians that are supposed to 'lead' us to salvation are no different from the very people they are leading. Christianity was originally shown as a single unit and now because of the CORRUPTION it has been divided and then sub-divided and divided once more into tiny sects or its former whole. The first evidence of this statement dates all the way back to the time of the Pagan emperor Constantine.,he bacame a Christian simply to appease his public.
Now take a look at the Pagans and the other polytheistic religions, They state that there are many gods and other creatures that govern our world but where is the actual evidence of any divine beings other than their MYTHOLOGY that has been handed down through the ages? The only proof of anything unworldly would be the many pyramids scattered across the globe and its separated continents, the calculations and the precision matches and rivals most of our modern technology today and surpasses anything else in its time period.
Enough of Religion, let us take a look at politics. Our government was based on many simple values that have long since been forgotten. Our freedom of speech is not as free as originally planned, sure you can say anything you want but they can punish and purge and shun you for it just the same. The freedom of religion is now basically limited to Christianity based religion, if you are a pagan then you are the first SUSPECTon their list for likely to commit a crime.
The government is supposed to have limited power but in all REALITY, it's not. They can and will do anything they so please, so long the entire body agrees on the same thing. The F.B.I. can stroll right into your home and state that you are under suspicion of violating Federal laws even if you have done nothing wrong and extricate you from your dwellings.
The saying innocent until proven guilty holds no ground in this day and age. Now if you are arrested for a crime they hold you until they prove that you are guilty, or you prove you are innocent. So it actually works GUILTY until proven Innocent. There is no appealing before you are tried and you must have money to make bail and in essence buy your freedom from the Government. Not so Free after all, true?
Now for life in and of itself. Life is something that should be valued, if not treasured with the upmost RESPECT. Most people have a basic respect for life but few truly value it, and those that do, live everyday to the fullest. Some of those who don't have a good outlook on life, I would know I was one of them at a point in time, because of their upbringing being a little 'rough around the edges' but that goes back to my prior statement of corruption being the cause of distraughtness.
The Truth is a very difficult thing to consume on certain days. Sometimes the truth hurts because our minds do want to comprehend it ,and our hearts don't want to feel it and there for we just want to deny the very thing that may solve all of the ISSUES at hand. For every lie there will be an endless stream of lies to assure that the first is not disbanded, but for every truth there is only one statement through and through.
These are my views on Life, Politics, Religion, Intelligence, and Truth. You can take these as your own beliefs or just enlighten me on where you think I went astray. But always keep in mind that I am respecting other beliefs so I request that you return the same COURTESY.

You say that pagans have no evidence for the things they believe other than their mythology, but what evidence do ANY religions have other than the stories/teachings of those religions – THEIR mythologies? You can’t apply one standard for some and another standard for others.

Rambling. But then that’s what blogs are for, right?
FOr someone titling their piece “Philosophy,” you fell into a number of philosophical errors. Straw Man, Begging the Question…others. To blithely give one or two examples and expect it to represent the entirety of the discipline is lazy at best, and deceitful at worst.
It sounds as though you have some interesting views, but you should devote the time to thoroughly lay them out logically and clearly.
Good luck.
I think it is a good idea that some people are held untill they are proven innocent because with some people they will just go out and do the same thing so it would be better for public safty if they were held but if they are held longer then a year that is a bit rediculus (unless it is rape because trying to talk to the victims is hard.
By far one of the best opinionated pieces i have stumbled upon, you have real fire in your words. I don’t know you, but I feel like I understand you.
great piece. you are exactly right on wit this observation
I’m glad to see someone questioning the world, kudos for that. I enjoyed the read, but found this to need a lot of backing up and polish. this is a very thin argument as it’s written.
My suggestions and questions/comments:
“world showered in HATRED and greed (at least this is my belief)” -why is hatred all caps but greed kept muted? the parenthetical isn’t necessary, this is your blog and you’ve already covered that in the review’s notes.
“I back my statement with [this] fact [from] childhood, ” -clear this up a little
“but a child that has been taught to be afraid of the dark” -fear of the dark is a naturally occurring phenomenon in most children. How is this “taught?” you need to clarify that point.
“Christianity was originally shown as a single unit” -no it wasn’t. You need a fact check. Gnostic text were omitted by some sects while others accepted them even when Christianity wasn’t fully formed as an establishment.
“the CORRUPTION it has been” -you need to define what you are calling corruption, and the all caps seems random.
The pyramids reference is solid, this is very similar to my piece “Thinking about thinking”
You don’t back up any of your claims about government.
“long since been forgotten” -which values have been forgotten? many have been weakened, changed, reinterpreted, but since we still base our law on the original documents, I don’t see how a complete omission is possible.
“as free as originally planned” -how do you know what was originally planned? Would the founding fathers have tolerated hip-hop? Who knows.
“they can punish and purge and shun you for it just the same” -examples?
“a pagan then you are the first SUSPECTon their list for likely to commit a crime.” -what crimes are pagans regularly accused of?
I agree with your basic point, but find the assertions you are making to be unsubstantiated in this text.
I don’t think you understand the legal system very well. The FBI doesn’t arrest anyone without having evidence to begin with. You can’t be held without a being charged for more than 48 hours. The only people who can be treated the way you describe are Non-American Terrorism suspects.
How old are you? When i saw this i thought wow, he has taken on the whole globe. I cannot believe how well you explained yourself. For someone so young to be thinking of all these things and come up with reasonable explanations. However, The one thing one human can never know is what makes another truly happy. One person might be happy with the sunset, while another may be happy in a pub drinking ale. i, myself am happy at a keyboard talking to intelligent people like you. As for law, we must have certain laws. Nothing is set in stone but it serves a purpose.
” if you are a pagan then you are the first SUSPECTon their list for likely to commit a crime. Whose list? Now you getting deep.” This could be argued. You would need facts and figures to base this on but you said it was your opinion.
Do you believe in one God? You don’t tell us. What do you believe in? i like the Buddha faith. I like the idea of Brahman. How is he different than God and why would we care? We do have freedom of religion. No one is going to come here and gun me down for sitting in the lotus position and meditating.I am going to tell you something. Be wise and respect all forms of faith. Don’t be to harsh, even the atheists have a point. The best way to deal with all this is to be an individual.Be strong and don’t take on so much. You could narrow this down to one religion and argue it point by point. But chances are you would get no where. Religion is a bit of a walk in the fog.Either you have faith or you don’t. I like that you are thinking though. You will do well in life. Good job. Sandi
”....someone REALLY had all of the answers…” Capitals are weak grammar. They show a reliance on the keyboard instead of craft. Your writing is strong enough without them. They are also seen by the professional world as a freshman device.
“Innately[,]we all have the power…”
”...and greed (at least this is my belief). I back my…” This is an incorrect use of parenthesis. Parenthesis is used when the author wants to interject a statement contrary, or outside, the sentence’s main subject. What you have here is a qualifier; all it needs is a comma.
“I back my statement with fact of childhood,[:] a child that hasn’t seen the world outside of its small comprehensible visage [around it] (delete), will not cry and scream if the lights go out, but a child that has been taught to be afraid of the dark will[,] (delete) writhe in terror whilst in [utter] (use this to modify “terror”, a feeling; not “darkness” a fact) darkness.
I won’t use any more of your credits. Purchas “The Elements of Style” and read it ten times. You have something to say, but in order for others to hear it, the writing cannot get in the way
On your first point, I think everyone knows that a utopia is impossible. That won’t stop people from trying to solve everything they think is wrong, though. For the most part, I agree with your point.
On religion, I agree with the first part. The church has, for the most part, been corrupt. It’s hard to find a public place worthy of religious worship. On your point about proof, however, I disagree. It is very easy to find proof against religion, but it is also easy to find proof for religion. Even points of science work to prove a divine being. A good place to find answers is here: http://www.reasons.org/ When someone says there is no proof for ANY point, it just means they are unwilling to even look.
I believe that the government does have limited power. The ignorance and stupidity of the majority of citizens is what makes it look like the government has too much power. I also believe people are innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the court. Nothing can stop individual people from having opinions, however.
