Poetry / Who Waits
Where is the man who waits for me?
Where is he?
Across the sea.
On a journey that he may never return from.
My heart longs for him.
Time passes but he is never forgotten.
As he rides in and out on the tides
He always comes back for me
Where is the man who gave his love free?
Where is he?
The man who is willing to die for me.
As soon as his memory starts to go away
He comes back making sure he remains
My heart aches as this game is played
He was here and now is gone again
A figment of my imagination
Tricks of the fading falling sun
A mirage of memories taunting me
Where is he who said he would endure all hell
Just to be with me
Why is he cowering low in his shell
Brave a false pretense
For a false man with pretend plans
Demented and twisted
His lies ferment
In my hand
Our love fated
Tme hated
Where oh where has my true love gone?
