There's so many things going on all at once some yes, we over react others we don't then you have the whole picture you gotta look at.
Let's start with Religion, there is so many diffirent religions out there which one do you choose, the one that was place upon you when you were a child or one that you come to believe in as an adult. How about we look at it like this i tell Jane a story, she goes and tells John the story, then he goes tells somebody and so on, well by the time my story gets back to me it has changed things have been added and things has been left out same thing goes for the bible, it's all hearsay and possible a myth, yes i said it a myth.If you think long and hard about it Heaven & Hell is a good way back in them days to scare people into doing what they believe is the right thing.They say Jesus was crucified through the hands well its been proven that the hands are to fragile to hold up a body it would rip them causing the body to fall down,and that he had to be crucify through the wrist.1 lie right there,so no 1 really knows what happen and never will this all comes down to Faith hmm Myth or Faith.

Myth
1-a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, esp. one that is concerned with deities or demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature.

Faith-
1. confidence or trust in a person or thing
2. belief that is not based on proof

Funny how both are kinda the same way isn't it,so if you have faith in Jesus and God then you have faith in Bigfoot, Aliens, and Elvis still being alive.
After you figure out where you stand on the Religion then you can look at your Life in a whole prospective. If you believe in a God you go through out life,with the firm belief if things go your way god has blessed you if they don't go your way God is just testing you to see how you handle it. Now you also got the people who say God gave you choices to take in life well in all honesty the choices that you had to make in life was of your own doing in some shape or form.
How about the people that don't believe in God,they go about there day as any other day,go to school or work maybe even both not worrying about church or false beliefs if things goes there way good or bad they view it as luck.
Then you have people who don't believe in God and the whole Jesus story, they also don't believe in luck so what do they believe in, Karma
1- action, seen as bringing upon oneself inevitable results, good or bad, either in this life or in a reincarnation
2-the cosmic principle according to which each person is rewarded or punished in one incarnation according to that person's deeds in the previous incarnation.
I Personally fall under the Karma belief.
So which person are you:
Person 1 who believes in god and prays for things to be alright and happen for them.
Person 2 who takes a chance and bets to get lucky and have a chance of things happening for them.
Person 3 who goes out and makes it happen treating people the way they want to be treated
