Glad to please you – and thank you for looking at them once in a while.
The rhyme scheme with “docket”, “lock it” etc. takes its root from the most famous (and probably, the bawdiest) limerick cliche of all times, “There once was a man in Nantucket…”, and it is a hard one to execute – I took this as an exercise, sort of a challenge, and so far, the response has been mixed, but more on the positive side.
I am also, in a way, cheating – I write limericks posted at www.obamafu.com, there are 250+ of them already and every day, or every few days, the new ones are posted. Here I just post selectively a few – if I were to re-post all of them here, I will probably be banned from Urbis forever “for misuse of a limited poetic form for unlimited political purposes”...
