Short Story / Tony Medley's A Fairy Tale Ending Revised
There the evil sorcerer Merlin was face to face with the valiant prince, Sir Anthony Maxi and tied to the tower was the princess Princess Marah Camelot and the tower was soon to crumble. The evil sorcerer, Merlin had been waiting for the moment he would come face to face with the valiant prince Tony and now here was his chance. Tony had been in love with Bekah but Marah was in love with another prince from the Transylvania kingdom and so they never were. Now Tony was face to face with Merlin who had once been his teacher before he chose the forces of evil. Merlin had once taught Prince Tony everything he knew and now he was evil which Tony wished that it didn’t have to come down to this but it had.
Merlin had joined the Circle of Blood Rose and now was the enemy of all kingdoms even though he had once been a friend of all. Prince Tony pointed the sword towards Merlin.
“I saith unto you like a prophecy that has never been written that thy day that you betook the princess from the kingdom of Camelot is the day you chose to die by the hands of thy apprentice.” Prince Tony said.
“Have I not taught thy anything. Thy pride of thee has over cometh you and you think to much about thy abilities and challenge thy master to battle when thy master is always thy master no matter thy sides that I choseth.” Merlin laughed.
Prince Tony swung his sword with all his might and the move was blocked by Merlin’s sword. Prince Tony looked towards the princess’s direction and then back at Merlin.
“Master you might be but never of love. Thy power has over cometh thee and thy power is of evil. You stoleth thy princess from the kingdom of heaven. For I saith this because she was like an angel who has fallen out of heaven for no one could ever be of her. Marah is that of an angel for heaven must be missing an angel because she has blessed us with her presence here. And dareth take her away from thy earth for ever even after the latter days. You shall pay with thy head.”
“I laugh at comments that are not of knowledge but of things that can not exist such as you say. That is why I’m thy master and you thy apprentice. Now for insolence you shall die.”
“I bethink you mistaken master for love is power of all. Love is why creation has come about. If no love then why do man exist.”
Right then the tower collapsed and it fell with Marah beneath the tower. Now Prince Tony had to chose whether he would destroy Merlin or try to save Marah. He looked to Merlin one last time to say the things he had to.
“I saith this with knowledge for knowledge does not exist without love but along the side of love. I dareth not let you go because I’m weak but I let go of thy master because my love I choose to save. I chose love now over justice for love is all that matters. Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. I saith this with a goodbye but only for now.” Tony said to Merlin and than ran to the side of Marah.
Marah was dying and soon would be dead but not if Tony had anything to do with it. Tony lifted the tower and threw releasing the pressure of the tower making Marah able to breathe and Bekah looked up into his eyes and smiled.
“You saveth my life but why? I dareth turn you away but you dareth not remember for you chose me over taking Merlin to justice. Why?” Marah asked.
Tony holding Marah as she was dying in his arms and replied “Even though thy turn me away love does not go away but lingers in thy darkness. My resonating light you shall be since the time has begun. I know not of you here but of you there. The time before thy time spent here on this mortal coil. When thy man or woman shifts off thy mortal coil then thee returns to the beginning of where it all begun. In this the time before time I knew of you and know of you now but you don’t know of me. But I wait for thy time when you shall knowth this.” Tony explained.
“My sweet prince who never did I accept let these by thy last words from the lips of thine and let it ring true of all. I die not in vain but for you.”
Marah closed her eyes and that’s when Tony raised his sword in the air screaming to the place of the time before we do not know of at this time.
“I saith unto you who knowth of these things that shall, have, and always will be dare not let her die but me in her place. Oh thy happy and loving sword that is thy sheath i die for you. By the pricking of my chest, blood for blood something wicked dare not come no more.” Tony said this and stabbed himself and Marah awoke from her death to see Tony lying on the ground.
Marah grabbed the dying Tony in her arms realizing that the one knows of these things that shall, have, and always will be took Tony’s life instead and let her live. Marah’s life had been spared because Tony’s life had not been spared.
“Please do not close thy eyes to see thy final dream for it is the lark not the mockingbird that singeth now.” Marah begged of Tony.
“I saith this as my final prophecy I do loveth you but I taketh thy place now. For you cannot die for I love thy to much. Love that extends the reach and boundaries of thy world and thy world of thy time before. For Marah it is a far, far, better thing I do here.” Tony spoke for the last time.
Tony then closed his eyes for the last time returning to the time before this one and now the princess stays and mourns over our fallen hero. The End

A very entertaining story. There are a few mishaps with some of the language. Thy where Thou should be used (occasionally) as an example. But the story itself is artfully done.
With a little more experience and honing your craft, there’s a talent that the world will likely come to appreciate.
This is not exactly the genre I like to read, however, so the fact that you kept my attention to the very end speaks volumes about your talent.

I love this overall ending to a very well known story. Very sad at the end… -starts to cry- However maybe adding a bit more to the battle scene, it feels like Merlina dn Tony don’t fight enough. And when you have a different character speaking each time you should start another paragraph then end the speaking by saying who it was. It can get slightly confusing otherwise. Toodles.
