Views on the Government Essay
The Government should cut all funding to the educational, cultural and welfare programs and turn all three over to the Private Sector. I feel that a strong defense budget should be the Governments top priority, not trying to run schools, conduct cultural programs or provide for those who are “down and out”.
The Private sector is not only more capable of taking care of these programs but within the private sector there is competition. This competition would push companies to provide the best educational, cultural and welfare programs in the world. Because in the Private sector if a company is not providing you with the best service for the best price, naturally your going to find a company that will.
Not having Government agencies attached to these programs will not only free up more then ample funds for a strong defense budget; it would also help America feel more secure in the world abroad in the long run. With more money to spend on defense our troops will be better trained and more adequately equipped to deal with combat situations should they arise.
With better educational and cultural programs America’s future students and leaders will be among the finest and brightest in the international community. With excellent education and cultural understanding our students and leaders would be equipped with the knowledge necessary to help our country and our people prosper.
With Welfare programs turned over to the Private sector checks and balances would be maintained with a keen eye. After all a corporate company is out to make money as well as provide a service. I believe current loopholes and blatant misuse of the program would come to an end once a company in the Private sector was in charge. With the misuse and loopholes gone more people who are in actual need of help from a welfare program would get it.
In conclusion the Government should not only cut funding to educational, cultural and welfare programs but they should bow out of them entirely. Putting them in the Private sector where they have always belonged and concentrate on a strong defense budget, as they should. With every service and program that would be improved along with the overall price being lowered, the decision is not only easy it’s down right simple.
