I’m not sure exactly what you said lol. Basically, the point I was trying to get at is that the true artist shows no fear, no fear of failing, no fear of ridicule.
Quotes / The True Artist
The true artist stands naked at the front of the class and gives their presentation, paying no mind to contemporaries pointing and laughing at her flat chest or his small cock.

it’s bold and twisted (not in a bad sense) if you squirt and think hard enough, it actually makes sense.
Very…. Interesting, Puts the artist in the role of the subject.
Awesome Quote! A true artist isn’t afraid to tell it like it is either and that’s what you did with this quote! The quote reminds me that art isn’t always pretty nor is the artist and that is how it’s supposed to be!
I’m a true artist. These are my true colors. All I can see from what you wrote, in my mind’s eye, are “dead people” ... I see DEAD people !! Oh, sorry, I meant to say “naked” people. (ok, naked DEAD people … )
ta dah !

(insert maniacal circus music… )
this is a good quote, it’s definitely true. it might be funnier if you said “his flat chest or her small c*ck” but that changes the feel.
I think the word ‘dick’ would have more phonetic beauty on this one. Also, something bugs me about the word ‘presentation.’ Sounds more like a business meeting than an art exhibition, but I understand you wanting to avoid the word ‘exhibition’ in this case. It might still work if you just drop the words ‘and gives their presentation’ completely without trying to rephrase that part.
I think the wording in this quote is poor, saying that it is a very good base to what could be an excellent quote. Again, just needs re-wording.
I understand what you are saying clearly which is always what we aim for when submitting, so well done on that front.
I think the true artist is one that will break the socially constructed ideals and bare everything of themselves regardless of the burning they feel underneath their skin.
Keep sharing!
The quote is fairly short, but it contains a clever humorous message. Shame lies to us, indeed. Our skin is nothing more than flimsy skin, weak and powerless since it will fall into entropy, or chaos. haha Entropy is a word I learned in Environmental Science as well, which is ironic. Despite what we know about our appearance, we still persist to judge our values.

This is a tough one because though it is juvenile in concept, there is a level of maturity in the irony of the statement. (I also use maturity here in an ironic way). There’s another form of irony in the fact that it is such a literal…thing….organic in it’s own right but also somewhat familiar and almost recycled. It’s the type of written word that has probably been processed by someone with less balls (again, intended) to speak it but lacks the refining of a ripened poet.
I believe it is in your use of ‘contemporaries’ to describe “classmates” that sets it apart from the would-be’s. Again, not a new idea, but used subtely to suggest that (s)he has risen above the ideological equality of said counterparts and is indeed superior because of their CHARACTER (which is what I believe you are defining when you use ‘true artist’).
Why wait six hours to write this down?
