Poetry / Exile Out (Analysis)
Exile Out
My sun rose and set
On a landscape not my own.
A place where love lies constant,
And forever waits alone.
I visited this lonely place
For a very brief time
I, a small voice none listen to
A miniscule Cassandra
A minute Circe
Silent scream of a molecule
Begging for existence
Unrecognized, I wandered there
Grasping at mist
Stumbling to understand
Clouded with love
Denying passion
Desperate for citizenship
Always denied
On what began a happy evening
The truth in its infinite wisdom
Grabbed me by the neck
Dragged me to the border
And tossed me out
Unceremoniously
And so I wander- never free
Yet ever out
An exile from a land
Not my own
