You hear in the night
The silence of your fright
And the blood pulses through your veins.

Nothing but darkness
Heart beating your chest.
Each thump causing pain.

Coming upon you
Something you never knew
Could possibly exist.

Eyes shining red.
Teeth a bright white.
Lips darkened with blood.
And hair black as a moonless night.
Just like tonight.

Hearing him breathing
Your mind starts reeling
And you get faster with each step.

But there's no way
You could escape
The teeth upon your neck.

Blood streaming down
You begin to drown
In the mist covering your eyes.

And nothing can help you
When everything you thought you knew
Begins to fade into the night.
