Freeing our souls,
Unchaining our hearts,
Unlocking our lips,
And letting our minds wander beyond control,
To places we keep out of our limits,
For fear of becoming insane.

Tapping our feet,
Drumming our fingers,
Nodding our heads,
And swaying to the rhythm of the beat,
Moving smoothly in time to the music,
You don’t hear it, you feel it.

Let go, and clear your troubled mind.
Just let it flow within you.
Let it become your soul.
Let it define you.
Let it be what you want it to be.
Become the person you wish you were.
The person you only are in the privacy of your own room
With your radio blaring
And no one there to tell you to turn it down.

Forget your worries,
For they no longer matter,
And have no significance in the big picture.
The picture you try to create for yourself.
The one you can’t lose,
For you’ve lost yourself;
Your feelings,
Your dreams,
Your goals,
And even your mind.

There’s nothing like this,
Nothing we have found yet.
Nothing that can let you be anything you want
With just the flip of a switch.

So turn it on,
Turn it up,
And let it control you from there.
Don’t think, just feel.
Beauty isn’t anything we can see,
It’s only what we think.
And nothing lets us think more clearly
Than the miracle of music.
