Poetry / Fate F--ks Forcefully
fate fucks forcefully
like rape
with all those tears and nightmares
tearing the fragile walls of sanity
and leaving a bloody mess
carefully reconstruct that
perfect little life
in the woe of aftermath
life is but a dream so we learn so
tender and young
and later discover that rounding sleep
is a welcomed escape from the horror
it is war just beyond the door
on both sides
peace comes in thresholds and margins
in betweens and day dreams
in negative space where you are not
anything but have everything
if only…
fate, our little villain,
necessity of blame
relieves the burden of responsibility
cleans up his mess neatly
and disposes our disposable lives
in a flush.
In vain our greatest efforts
For the world cares not but ever on
In spite of all our dreaming and fucking
Tiny ants measure out our lives if we’ll take the time
Unravel the greatest mysteries
And
Get on with dying

Yeah, this is pretty fuckin dark.
But, something darker is examples and illustrations of the rape of fate, baby killings, child molesting, some old half-blind fuck plowing his car into a single mother who finally won the lottery relieved she can finally giver her boy a life beyond endless babysitters and hand me down clothes.
I notice a little theme od fate as a cop out, i do like that.
overall this is a great idea, but id love to see some examples, some blood guts and grit to really show how daily people are raped by circumstance beyond thier control.
good luck, man.

i like this poem great word choice, mechanics work well. i like the mental and almost emotional imagery. the ending is strong and i especially like the last stanza. thats all i got…
p.s. don’t worry, i won’t read it in church because i don’t go to church.
