You can’t erase time,
Can’t forget what happened between you.
Can’t pick up where you left off.
Time changes everything.
THERE’S NO GOING BACK!
No matter how bad you want it,
Nothing is the same.
Everyone has lived their own life,
Without YOU!
Those butterfly feelings,
Sincere hello’s,
Meaningful hugs and kisses,
Sweet words that once meant so much,
They’re all gone now!
THERE’S NO GOING BACK!
Going back hurts more than going forward to something new.
You will get hurt going forward,
But you won’t have the the lingering emotions to block the truth.
Listen to me,
When I tell you,
THERE’S NO GOING BACK!
It’s never the same, never will be.
The only thing you will get is more heart ache,
Even if you think you are over all those feelings,
Going back awakens them,
But they will never be satisfied.
