Poetry / My Regret
Ever fondly my thoughts,
Moved by the keepsake,
Turn to you…
The promise lingering…
And the expanse of miles
Widening with the passing days,
A fading image of you in my arms
Calls a storm of emotion,
What good to yell against the wind?
What good to hide from the deluge-
-Of resentful tears?
Oh how I should have made a stand!
If not for us, then for me,
Oh these selfish thoughts,
Their thunderous roar
Sundering my skull like a wedge,
Clawing at my eyes to halt
The ever-growing remembrance of us…
Each flower, or moment of beauty,
Whispers the memory of you.
How hurtful and resolute are our mistakes
And in letting you go
A chasm of regret
Measures the distance of you to me.
And it grieves me even more,
That you bear this pain as well.
Our moments… forever fractured.

Nice imagery. This poem is very moving. The only thing I think could making it better is keeping the consistancy in your paragraphs and adding one more line to that last one. Other then that its very good.
