Poetry / I'll Wonder Why
I’m going to walk alone
to the edge of the world.
Ill write you a letter,
I promise.
I’ll tell you all the things I’ve seen;
none of it will matter any way.
It will all be black and white without you.
It will be an old time movie,
on a grimy screen-
fast and grainy,
moving mouths making no sound.
Silent footsteps on empty streets.
Your face will slowly fade from my heart,
leaving a little hole,
for the wind to howl through.
I’ll wonder why I cry.
So I’ll come back,
and you’ll be gone,
but it still won’t feel like home,
and I’ll still wonder why.

Beautiful and sad, captures a feeling of losing someone loved.
The colorless, soundless, with a hole that the wind blows through. .. huh?
.. it does feel that walk to forget someone is to the end of the world in time.
I don’t find anythng at all I want to pick at, seems like a perfect, finished poem to me.
