But when I heard it

Making sure love
doesn’t impregnate you
doesn’t contaminate you
doesn’t touch you

This piece is sad,(I get a feeling it has a certain bitterness to it also)I know many people that can’t open up their hearts
or even see that not everyone will hurt them,sometimes all it takes is one more chance at it and you could hit the motherload!Good writing.
Oh and I seem to borrow the same muse as you quite often.
