“Pet’s”
It’s such a little and insignificant word. If something’s your “pet”... it’s a cute little distraction; it’s something you “own.” How can you own a living thing?
The passing of Dude and Simon has had huge affect on me. I doubt if any human is capable of the unconditional love you get from a pet. We’re just too complicated to love that simply.
When the world sucks, your pet loves you.
When you suck, your pets love you.
When I look at Dude’s “babies” and Simon’s cardboard, I get more torn up than I did at the passing of some of my friends and family. Is that wrong?
