Poetry / Finger-tipped Etchings
Sweet uttered tenderness
wraps gently
around the mind,
intertwined in
silenceā¦
Subtle captivation
remembered from
another time
Hands
softly glide
leaving behind
permanent etchings
on the skin
Felt and remembered
oh so slight
the touch
The face embraced
by gentle hands,
those extensions
spread gracefully,
touching slowly
each
and
every
curve
surely to mesmerize,
and memorize
Tranquility
found within
the silence,
hidden behind
closed eyes
Recollections of fires
ignited by
simply traced
strokes,
upon ones lips
Reflections of each
found imprinted
within,
finger-tipped
etchings.

This is very beautiful and haunting and I love the opening three lines and yet for all its potential it really doesn’t go anywhere except to extoll upon the caresses of face, the eyes, the lips, albeit beautifully expressed. Who is this one who is so cherished? And why? I think the extended act of touching goes on too long with no other action or meaning to justify it for so long a poem. If there were a question to be asked or answered, a reason for this beautiful refrain, I think you would have a poem of more substance, and I woulnd’t give up on this one, but keep working on it.

I enjoyed this piece and I thought the flow was very good and the content was easy flowing and passion. good Job.
Wonderful! How did I miss this one?
I like the “play” with structure.
Your words create a very visual ‘etching’.
Very nice.
