Short Story / pink lipstick
He came to church wearing an orange dress and high heels. That was all I saw but I could only imagine him with hot pink lipstick and a blonde matted wig. Well they said he walked in by mistake and I said “make no mistake that a man with a problem like that needs the Lord in his life.” They put me at ease in saying that he thought he was walking into an adult video store.
Two weeks later while walking to Gratiot just a block from Michigan ave. I saw him in an alley in a lake of blood around his anus. He had a needle clutched tight in his hand like he couldn’t let it go. I resolved to call the police but I slowly closed my phone wondering was it even necessary. In Detroit if you see it chances are you weren’t the first and if it’s still there then what’s point.
A day or so later, I don’t really remember, the prostitute was on channel 4 action news with Carmen Harlan. Her hair of course was feathered and unprocessed. Her freckles were faded today. Yesterday they weren’t there and tomorrow she won’t wear make up. She seemed happy today her smile wasn’t pasted and rarely did she show her teeth.
She anchored the news like she did everyday and ended her report shuffling papers. A half grin and a slight nod to close the night. And all she said about the prostitute was that he was found dead in an alley and that he had no family. She called him a prostitute.

This is confusing. You need to redo with clarity in mind. Especially the last paragraph.
It is also a piece of hate mongering and pandering for non-involvement – two very bad cancers of society. I wouldn’t read any more of your stuff if I come across it based on this alone.
You need to expand this to develop your character and stop telling and beginning showing. Do more reflection and reactions.
