White Dwarf
By Greg Roe
With a venerable smile, he leaves his flesh hutch
Never could I laugh, no never could cry
Only I believe the holy’s great lie
Yet the white-dwarf’s shimmer is lost in clutch
Oh! His bones of brittle yet veins not touched
Ashes will fall fleetly – the time is nigh
Heroes grow so elder, and thus will die
With belief in lies, as someone’s last crutch
See the only lesson to learn from time
Existential silence dying hasn’t might
Admit those fears nothing always nothing
Seeking one more penance for my life’s crime
Demons from hell are beyond my eye’s sight
My life a song I could not ever sing
