Poetry / Cry me a river

Cry me a river that I may float away,
On a vision of a lovely child, challenged as may,
Negative images of times that should never be,
Not in this life time, can I believe that this is me,
You open the gate, I stroll in my arrogance to lie,
As your image, like my picture, in my own way I sigh,
I want to leave all my troubles in a vat of acidic mess,
As into my childhood, I firmly regress,
I belong in a time, already gone,
As in my mind mine will always be done,
Take me aside talk to me as if I don’t exist,
As from my confines, I challenge you, I resist,
So within this fence you may think I am sat in your trap,
But little do you know, that I just wait, my plan to attack,
When you realise that in your captivity I am really free,
It will be too late, I will already know the blind can see,
It’s only in ignorance that you think you are all powerful,
For when the sun goes down, we all look pretty dull,
Grey is an image in your album of things to see,
But shadows lurk in your destiny,
They hold you back and keep you all alone,
As your footsteps go up your wall, damaged home,
Your forgotten dreams drift away,
As on the sea of depravity I lay,
That you have been in a mood of indigo,
And from here, you aimlessly go…

You may want to consider changing the title.

I beleive it is the same as a Justin Timberlake song about his breakup with Brittany Spears.

Poem is interesting though.  Some of the imagery is a bit strong like “acidic mess”.
