Poetry / Obscure Moral Canopy

Felt up and left in obscurity
Beat down with lack of maturity
Can’t realize your behind the lines
Faded and diseased from life’s crimes

“Kill me” you yell to the empty night sky
Why can’t you take my pointless life
Leave me like you always did so well
Alone and crying, left to dwell

“Save me” you yell to the mirror in front of you
What can you do to not have the judgement of a fool
Moral canopy left dry from lack of paint
Mind fragile and easy to taint

“I don’t want to die” you yell as death approaches
Where did this rush of courage decide to leave the decayed roaches
Infernal feelings of pride that lacks plausibility
Maintenance done to keep the masters tranquility

i love how you illustrate very well the be careful what you wish for scenario. a cold desolate soul wishes death would come and learns as it finally reaches them that thats not what they really wanted deep down inside. i especially like the part ““Kill me” you yell to the empty night sky
Why can’t you take my pointless life
Leave me like you always did so well
Alone and crying, left to dwell

” as it turns out ironically that life had not abandoned them yet and when it finally decides to do so the person cowers in fear of their own mortality
