I keep sending out requests,
To certain people I see.
But even though i try my best,
Nothing comes back to me.

I’ll send another to someone,
it will get my hopes up again.
But when I check up on my profile,
It will tell me I have no friends.

As far as the piece goes…
My first thought was that it was really esoteric to this site, but when you consider the jillions of people who use myspace, this may have a wider audience than you anticipated!
Your meter is a little shaky; some fiddling with word choice may tighten this up and make it a really neat piece.
